Science for the People Podcast: Pregnancy Recovery and Prolapse

Listen in here – Science for the People Podcast episode #459

Excited to share this podcast. The topic: pregnancy recovery and our lack of strategies for women here in the US. First, Kate Clancy, an anthropologist that studies maternal health, shares both her professional and recent personal experience of a very difficult early postpartum period (and not that uncommon). She is so well spoken, and has such an amazing perspective as a researcher, scientist and someone who struggled with (still working it out) her own recovery. I tagged along to discuss prolapse and some of the challenges we face as we try to understand how best to help women recover from pregnancy and prolapse . The lack of research to share around postpartum challenges is truly disheartening. Please have a listen. So grateful to #ScienceForThePeople and @scicurious1 for sharing their platform to get the word out to help educate women and men. Change needs to come!
